RELIGION AND VALUES NEWS
Preps and Grade 1 are learning Kalima Shahadah, Prophet Muhamad’s (s.a.w) father, mother, grandfather’s and other family member’s names. Grade 2 are learning prayer times and different aspects of Prophet Mohamed’s (s.a.w) life. Grade 3 & 4 are studying about the importance of Islamic values in life and Grade 5 & 6 are learning about Sahaba. In addition to their class work, some students from Grades 2 to 8 are preparing for Victoria Wide Reading Contest. For this competition, Primary students are reading the book called “Companions of the Prophet†and Secondary students are reading the book name “Sahaba, the Stars of the Prophetâ€. Thanks to all the parents who are helping their kids to prepare for this competition.

As we know, Eid Qurban is celebrated in remembrance of Abraham's (Ibrahim's) willingness to sacrifice his son out of faith in Allah and Allah's mercy on us all. As Ismail was replaced with a sheep, lamb is the traditional thing to eat on Eid al-Adha. From the 28th to the 31Ist August students worked on different activities and projects about Eid Qurban. They absolutely enjoyed preparing Eid Qurban cards for their families.
